Our Purpose:
The purpose of the Student Involvement Council of Student-Provo City Alliance is to help connect students with the community and government. Achieving this connection involves registering students to vote in Provo, encouraging students to participate in neighborhood activities and service opportunities, and keeping students informed on local political and social issues.
Goals:
Our current primary focus is registering students at Brigham Young University to vote locally. Our goal is to register 1000 students to vote in Provo for the September 15th Primaries and to have 3000 students register to vote in the general election in November.
The reasons behind this objective are many. First, students who want to make a difference, understand the need to vote. The way to change the world is not by solely sending aid across the ocean, but addressing the needs and wants of the those who live in your own community. Lift where you stand.
